I have decided to talk about my drawing of my friend Abbey! Sadly, this wasn’t planned, so I only have a few pictures of the process and they aren’t very good, so the next drawing I do will have more pictures of the actual process, but I still want to share this!
This is going to be a very short blog. I hope that’s okay! There’s just not a lot to show with this one, but I want my art to get out there and maybe inspire someone to pick up a pencil and draw! It’s so fun! And you don’t have to be perfect at it to enjoy it, that’s the main thing. HAVE FUN! 😀
So here we go!
First I would do a basic sketch of the image, and then start my lineart for the drawing. Once I have that finished, I make a base layer, in this case I made mine the color purple since there was no purple in the image, and then begin coloring the image. Normally I do the base colors first and then I shade, but for some reason this time I decided to shade as I went.
You can see here that I shaded the eyes, mouth, and hair. This photo was taken from my phone, which is why it has a bunch of lines through it. Again, I apologize about the quality.
You can see here that I went ahead and colored and shaded her skin now, and colored the clothes.
But really that’s the end process, coloring and shading. If you want to add a background you can, which I did decide to do. A very simple one, of course. I’m not very good at backgrounds.
And there we go! There’s the final image! I had a lot of fun doing this drawing and I think I will be drawing more of my friends soon. I like drawing from images. 🙂
I have this posted on my deviantart, Annastasia01. That’s a zero, not an o. They look too similar to me. >.< You can download it if you want, or purchase it as a print. Check out my other drawings on there as well! If you want. I also have a photography deviantart that is also selling prints, called AnnastasiasPhotos. Check them out!
That’s it really! Just wanted to show a different type of art! 🙂 I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe it inspired you to pick up a pencil and just draw! Whatever you want.
